At Restaurant Aava, you experience the four seasons of the archipelago with all your senses. Large panoramic windows open directly onto the sea, where the scenery changes with the seasons.

The cuisine at Aava is built on simple, well-prepared food and the flavours of the archipelago. Our culinary philosophy follows the rhythm of the seasons and draws inspiration from local ingredients and memorable dining experiences. We use as many Finnish and seasonal ingredients as possible, ensuring both the quality of our dishes and their rich, full flavour.

Treasures from the Island of Ruissalo

The signature of Head Chef Jarno Seppä can be seen in thoughtful details: the menu always features something sourced from the island of Ruissalo. For example, the house spruce oil mayonnaise adds a subtle forest-like note to our dishes. In our cocktails we use Strand Gin, crafted exclusively for us and infused with treasures of the archipelago – meadowsweet, sea buckthorn and pine.

An intimate and soft restaurant setting

At Aava, the sparkle of summer, the deep tones of autumn, the quiet of winter and the awakening of spring follow one another in the atmosphere. In summer, Aava’s dishes can also be enjoyed on the outdoor terrace, right by the sea. Good food and an unhurried atmosphere make every visit an experience.

Flavour experiences from sunrise to dusk

At Aava, every morning begins with a generous buffet breakfast, and à la carte dishes are served seven days a week. On Fridays and Saturdays, we also offer our popular dinner buffet.

On weekends, Aava’s brunch combines a generous buffet of starters and desserts with main courses served as plated dishes.
