Free bus transport for Ruisrock guests!
The free bus to the festival site runs from the Saaronniemi campsite along Ruissalo Park Road; you can board the bus approx. 100 m from the spa junction heading towards Turku (bus stop name: Ykköspirtti). You must show your room key card to the driver. The festival stop is the Botanical Garden, and on the return journey you can alight again at the Ykköspirtti stop. The bus timetable will be published shortly.
Getting around during Ruisrock
When it comes to getting around, please note that during Ruisrock, traffic to Ruissalo Island is restricted. Hotel guests may drive to and from the hotel without a special permit. You cannot drive to the festival site itself, but there are excellent cycle and footpaths from the Spa right to the venue. The journey is about 6 km by bike or on foot.
Taxis are operating as normal; you can book a taxi to the Spa.
Local buses (Föli) are also running in Ruissalo according to their timetables, and the Spa bus stop is right outside the main entrance. See the public transport arrangements below ↓
Public transport diversions
Föli bus route 28 will run to Ruissalo Island according to its usual timetable throughout the festival weekend. However, as in previous years, the stops on Kansanpuistontie will be out of service for the duration of the festival. In addition, some of the stops on Ruissalon puistotie will be out of service.
The following bus stops will be out of service:
- Stops 595, 570, 666 and 537 Ruissalo/Kansanpuistontie: the closure begins on Thursday 2 July with the first service of route 28 and ends on Sunday 5 July the last service of the evening.

The waterbus service organised by Föli to Kansanpuisto and the Ruissalo shipyard will continue this year as well. The Kansanpuisto waterbus stop will be out of service for safety reasons related to the festival’s construction. The closure begins on Monday 22 June with the first waterbus service and ends on Wednesday 8 July with the last evening service.
Temporary arrangements for non-motorised traffic
The arrangements will also affect non-motorised traffic. The cycle path along the waterfront promenade will be diverted to the Kansanpuisto walking path, and the route through Kansanpuisto will be closed from Monday 22 June to Wednesday 8 July. However, you can still reach the inner parts of the island via alternative routes, which will be signposted along the roads.
